Evolutionary Algorithms and Analog Electronic Circuits


Henrik Forstén has an interesting blog post on evolving analog circuits with genetic algorithms.  Genetic algorithms work by randomly mutating an input, like a circuit design, over thousands of iterations until it maximizes a desired goal.  Henrik uses SPICE software to simulate the circuit response at each step and help pick which changes get closest to the target circuit response.  You can find more details in Henrik’s blog post and the code available on GitHub.
