Sally Byers is a textile craftsperson turned electronic artist. We’ve been blown away by her work ever since we first saw her volcano coat with hand-soldered surface mount LED sequins, and have been drooling over her latest NeoPixel creations stitched with conductive thread. Each year, Adafruit highlights a number of women who are pioneering their fields and inspiring women of all ages to make their voices heard. Incredibly cool use of practical LED lighting to innovate in new ways! It’s definitely not often that you see lighting systems being incorporated into clothes, but Byers does so in a way that makes it look longstanding and natural. Thanks for sharing!
