Like to eat cereal? Then chances are you have everything you need to make a stormtrooper helmet from an empty cereal box. This is so much better than getting a cheap plastic prize! Steve Wintercroft designed this mask and others after struggling to come up with an idea for a Halloween costume. He only uses cardboard, glue, scissors, and tape to assemble the masks, and the finished products are more than suitable. He does sell PDF patterns for the stormtrooper helmet and other designs on his website, but I’m sharing his work to encourage you to take another look at the objects around your house when you’re brainstorming your next costume – especially the items in the recycling bin.
