Barbara just couldn’t get enough electronic hat making after our Hats Off Challenge in collaboration with element14 finished, so she’s taking on a new project to make and share:
I know what you’re thinking. Isn’t one light-up piece of wearable headgear enough? To which I passionately answer: No! It isn’t! One must have light-up hats for all seasons and occasions! But seriously, this hat will be amazing.
The working title for this electronic Christmas confection is the “Hot and Cold Christmas Cloche.” A temperature sensor on the hat will trigger its light-up bits to change color depending on whether it is hot or cold. Ideally, the hat will be an icy blue when it’s outside and a festive red and green when it’s inside.
