From the Forums – Electronic Hourglass Project #Arduino #neopixels
samuelguyer got some help with his electronic hourglass project-in-progress on the Adafruit Forums:
It is an electronic hourglass. You program it using the capacitive touch sensor, and then turn it over to start the timer (it includes an accelerometer to detect the orientation). The two connectors are for the neopixel strip (top connector) and capacitive touch sensor (bottom connector). The accelerometer is hidden under the connectors….
I’ve built of a few of these things as gifts for people….
Make a robot friend with Adafruit’s CRICKIT – A Creative Robotics & Interactive Construction Kit. It’s an add-on to our popular Circuit Playground Express, FEATHER and other platforms to make and program robots with CircuitPython, MakeCode, and Arduino. Start controlling motors, servos, solenoids. You also get signal pins, capacitive touch sensors, a NeoPixel driver and amplified speaker output. It complements & extends your boards so you can still use all the goodies on the microcontroller, now you have a robotics playground as well.
