It’s an endearing story of a boy whose magical telescope takes him on a Christmas journey of other galaxies with none other than Santa Claus.
The story comes alive in the extraordinary window displays of Macy’s flagship store in Herald Square.
Each of the six windows features a unique planet-scape, custom-designed elves, celestial beings and toys – most carved out of foam lit with thousands of LED lights.
Spectators can follow the young adventurer Alex and his dog Bella as they soar from planet to planet before returning to Earth.
On the red planet Mars, resident Martians paint the town red. On Saturn, locals compete in a race around the planet’s rings.
The displays are the creation of Roya Sullivan, an award-winning designer and Macy’s director of window presentation.
