“From Above” is a short film by SmugMug that features NASA astronaut Don Pettit discussing photography in space. Pettit was a prolific photographer while aboard the International Space Station during Expedition 6, Expedition 30, and Expedition 31. Pettit was also a mission specialist during the STS-126 mission of the space shuttle Endeavor.
Pettit was interviewed by SmugMug about the finer details of photography in microgravity, his favorite photo subjects, and how he hogged the bandwidth while on the ISS. The interview also includes some of Pettit’s stunning images taken from space.
