Navio+ Raspberry Pi inspired autopilot!
APM AUTOPILOT
Navio+ runs well proven APM autopilot and can operate in different flight modes including manual, stabilize, follow-me and auto. Code is executed directly on Raspberry Pi with real-time Linux kernel and you can run your applications alongside. Copter, Plane and Rover are supported.
MISSION PLANNING
APM supports MAVLink communication with a wide variety of GCS choices for Win, Mac, Linux, as well as for Android and IOS. Navio+ will send telemetry over Wi-Fi, LTE, BT or any other modem. With remote login you can monitor system, execute commands and run scripts in flight.
FULL HD FPV
With Raspicam and hardware H.264 encoding on VideocoreIV 1080p FPV is now a reality. Video stream is transferred over LTE or high-power Wi-Fi with minimal lag. View it on your device of choice connected to the same network, process using OpenCV or store it on a flash drive.
OPEN FOR DEVELOPERS
Navio+ is more than a ready to fly autopilot – it was build for research and education. Have a custom project? We’ve got you covered. Open-source drivers and detailed tutorials are available both in C++ and Python. If you are just learning how to code and actually control a drone, nothing beats Navio+. Powerful, flexible and fueled with Raspberry Pi goodness.
LEARN
We see more and more people flying drones and fewer understanding how they work. Learning curve is steep and with Navio+ we want to change that: no more complicated setups, no writing of drivers. Get straight to the core functionality. Like in the good old times – if you want to see it fly by itself you got to code it. And if it won’t fly – simply head for APM.
RESEARCH
Navio is very popular among universities and research institutions. Just think of numerous projects that can get use of IMU, GPS, barometer, servo control and very friendly programming environment. All experimental data can be processed directly on Navio+ using Wolfram Mathematica. Raspberry Pi is probably the most well documented small computer in the world.
EXPLORE
If ready to fly is not your way – head for our tutorials, they give a good explanation on how to communicate to the sensors. All the code is there for you and completely open-source with a choice between Python and C++. Example applications like IMU with visualization or GPS TCP streamer give a good insight on how easy it is to code for Navio.
