Make sure your plants stay hydrated with this moisture detection tutorial from ronnietucker on instructables. We think this is a great, easy to follow tutorial that’s useful for teaching or rainy day weekend projects alike.

Here’s a really simple way to detect moisture in plant soil.

You’ll need:

  • An Arduino
  • Two steel nails
  • one 10k ohm resistor
  • some lengths of wire
  • soldering iron
  • solder
