This week, Arcturus Lancaster shared a fantastic feline-inspired wearables project:

Laser cut LED cat ears. 2x neopixels in each ear powered by trinket. Magnets embedded for easy attach to various bases.

Mostly latex with Eva foam to keep the latex from flopping. (read more)

for +Paul Frederick , here’s my desoldering pot tip and stand for removing DIP chips quickly from double side soldered pcbs. the pool clips over the iron’s chisel point tip and snuggles onto it. the molten solder forms a bubble and you just dangle the chip legs into the top of the bubble to reflow them without destroying everything. I added some 75mm screws as pillars to hold the pcb level over the bubble. (read more)
