Thirty-Five Percent of Engineering Jobs Now Require 3-D Printing Skills

recent report from data company Wanted Analytics found that in one month 35 percent of engineering job listings from a variety of fields, including biomedical, software, and transportation industries, required applicants familiar with 3-D printing and its additive manufacturing processes. The same report found that companies are having a difficult time finding candidates with the right skills.

  1. “The title isn’t accurate; it should say that 35% of engineering job listings now require 3D printing skills, rather than 35% of all engineering jobs. Either way, that is a significant bias in the industry for this skill set.”
