More and more cosplayers are joining the fun of cosplaying characters from Mad Max: Fury Road. The aesthetic of the film is very specific, and the main characters have memorable looks. Imperator Furiosa is a popular choice, clearly, and one cosplayer who dressed as her is also working on a Nux costume. As one of Immortan Joe’s War Boys, Nux is bald, shirtless, and pale. Jack Gabriel Cosplay recently finished modifying a cheap pair of goggles from eBay to look more like the ones Nux wears in the film. The before picture is just below. Jack dry brushed and sanded the goggles to achieve the effect.
If you need to figure out how to replicate Nux’s makeup, this video from Freakmo goes over how to create it with encapsulated silicone proshetic:
And if you want to create a fun prop to carry around while dressed as Nux, Replica Props Forum user PoopaPapaPalps is making this bird that sits the dashboard of Nux’s car – pictures and notes on the process are in this thread.

Stop breadboarding and soldering – start making immediately! Adafruit’s Circuit Playground is jam-packed with LEDs, sensors, buttons, alligator clip pads and more. Build projects with Circuit Playground in a few minutes with the drag-and-drop MakeCode programming site, learn computer science using the CS Discoveries class on code.org, jump into CircuitPython to learn Python and hardware together, TinyGO, or even use the Arduino IDE. Circuit Playground Express is the newest and best Circuit Playground board, with support for CircuitPython, MakeCode, and Arduino. It has a powerful processor, 10 NeoPixels, mini speaker, InfraRed receive and transmit, two buttons, a switch, 14 alligator clip pads, and lots of sensors: capacitive touch, IR proximity, temperature, light, motion and sound. A whole wide world of electronics and coding is waiting for you, and it fits in the palm of your hand.
