Berkshire Hathaway to Buy Precision Castparts for $37.2 Billion – The New York Times.

Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway is buying an aircraft components maker, Precision Castparts, in a deal valued at about $37.2 billion, the companies said today.

“I’ve admired P.C.C.’s operation for a long time,” Mr. Buffett said in news release on Monday. “For good reasons, it is the supplier of choice for the world’s aerospace industry, one of the largest sources of American exports.
