Grotesque But Incredible Resident Evil 2 William Birkin Cosplay
It feels cruel to share this cosplay first thing in the morning because it certainly is a, uh, memorable image with which to begin your day. But as gross as it is, you have to admire the craftsmanship that went into making this take on William Birkin’s mutated form from Resident Evil 2. Cosplayer Gai made this monstrosity — he specializes in making large scale suits like this one.
The William Birkin costume weighs around 22 pounds, and Gai does wear it out and about to conventions. He started work on it as early as the beginning of July and sculpted the pieces by hand and used what looks like EVA foam on the armor. The claws and eyes move, too.
