Disney is adapting their animated film Tangled into a musical that will be performed on their cruise line. Being Disney, they have a significant costume department and resources most of us can’t access but the process is still fascinating. I’m always interested in seeing what inspires costume designers and like to learn how they use different textures and elements to not only dress characters but to tell or complement the story at hand. Disney released a video discussing those points with the costume designer for Tangled: The Musical, Paloma Young, and it’s a brief but cool look behind the scenes.
