Computerphile has a great new video interview with Brian Kernighan about the history of the C programming language. Brian is the coauthor of The C Programming Language book which is a classic programming text that’s revered for being both succinct and comprehensive. Check out the video for great insight into the creation of the C language and the writing of the book. I particularly like that Brian originally thought the book would only sell perhaps 5,000 copies–now almost 40 years and 24 reprintings later it’s safe to say that estimate was a bit too modest. 🙂
