Even if you don’t watch Futurama, Turanga Leela probably looks familiar to you. Known as Leela, the ship captain is tough and frequently saves the day. Cosplaying her can be tricky because it’s not easy to pull off the single eye look and retain a full field of vision, but cosplayer Holly Brooke figured out a practical solution. She painted what appears to be a pair of glasses/lenses and fit the whole piece over both of her eyes. She crafted the “eye” as well as the rest of the costume except for the raygun — that was made by Keroga Forge.
