We’re Celebrating our Adafruit Team this #LaborDay – Anselmo from the Shipping Team

IMAG2954

Anselmo, our wonderful reseller shipper, talks shipping!

I work in the Shipping Department. More specifically, the Reseller Fulfillment Department. We package and ship orders just like regular Shipping, but Reseller Fulfillment deals with the bigger orders that take a little more time and require a little more attention. Sometimes the order, or the quantity of a item in the order, is so big that we have to wait for more of a particular item to come in. Its our job in Reseller Fulfillment to keep track of the progress of these larger orders and ship them as soon (and neatly!) as possible so that they can be distributed and sold in our customers stores.

What I love most about Adafruit is the environment that Limor and Phil have allowed us to create for ourselves. When there is no pressure, when everyone is enjoying the work they do and when everyone is doing their fair share of work, EVERYTHING GETS DONE! Limor and Phil really care about the people who work here and the environment they`ve allowed us to create in our work space IS THE REASON why I enjoy working here, why I don’t dread Monday mornings and why Adafruit is the best job I`ve had to date!

Adafruit has had paid day off for voting for our team for years, if you need help getting that going for your organization, let us know – we can share how and why we did this as well as the good results. Here are some resources for voting by mail, voting in person, and some NY resources for our NY based teams as well. If there are additional resources to add, please let us know – adafruit.com/vote

Stop breadboarding and soldering – start making immediately! Adafruit’s Circuit Playground is jam-packed with LEDs, sensors, buttons, alligator clip pads and more. Build projects with Circuit Playground in a few minutes with the drag-and-drop MakeCode programming site, learn computer science using the CS Discoveries class on code.org, jump into CircuitPython to learn Python and hardware together, TinyGO, or even use the Arduino IDE. Circuit Playground Express is the newest and best Circuit Playground board, with support for CircuitPython, MakeCode, and Arduino. It has a powerful processor, 10 NeoPixels, mini speaker, InfraRed receive and transmit, two buttons, a switch, 14 alligator clip pads, and lots of sensors: capacitive touch, IR proximity, temperature, light, motion and sound. A whole wide world of electronics and coding is waiting for you, and it fits in the palm of your hand.
