Hey folks, Crow here. Having finally updated my Eagle CAD software suite to v7.3 from v5.12, I discovered a minor issue with OSHPark’s parsing of v7.2+ drill files. While this issue is not itself a problem, the fact I had to dig deeper than one might expect to discover this is. If they only had a link from the “missing drill file” error page to this,
“Due to a change in how Eagle 7.2 generates Excellon drill files, we now provide 2 sets of CAM files: One set for Eagle 7.1 and lower, and one for 7.2 and higher. Unfortunately, these are not interchangeable. Users upgrading to Eagle 7.2 from a new version of Eagle will need to also upgrade their CAM file to avoid drill file issues with our system. ”
My issues would have been solved much quicker. I am making a note of it here for anyone else who might bump into this. The relevant URL is
