Though we don’t (yet) have any DotStar LEDs in matrix form, some users are itching to assemble their own from strips. To that end, we’ve released the Adafruit_DotStarMatrix library, a DotStar variant to our prior NeoMatrix library which provides text and graphics primitives.
Syntax is nearly identical to Adafruit_NeoMatrix, only the constructor has changed (since DotStars use two wires and can optionally use hardware SPI transfers), so refer to the example sketches and the NeoMatrix library documentation for use.

Wow, 16 hours from someone in the Ask an Engineer chat saying they really needed a DotStar version of the NeoMatrix library to releasing the library. Phil B you and the rest of the Adafruit staff are amazing. This why I buy my electronics from Adafruit.
