Rescue Rangers Gadget Cosplay from Comic Con Russia
Russia Comic Con took place at the beginning of October and featured a plethora of fantastic cosplay (see a cosplay video from the event by Mr. TVCow linked below), including an adorable Gadget Hackwrench from Chip’n Dale Rescue Rangers. Aleksandra Bodler did a spot-on job bringing the mouse to life. I’m highlighting her work because this is an idea for a last minute costume that’s relatively simple to pull together and highly recognizable. You’d need to acquire or make a purple jumpsuit (you could opt for a purple dress too), goggles, and the right wig, and then you’ll need to make mouse ears. Those can easily be fashioned from craft foam.

Circuit Playground Express is the newest and best Circuit Playground board, with support for MakeCode, CircuitPython, and Arduino. It has a powerful processor, 10 NeoPixels, mini speaker, InfraRed receive and transmit, two buttons, a switch, 14 alligator clip pads, and lots of sensors: capacitive touch, IR proximity, temperature, light, motion and sound. A whole wide world of electronics and coding is waiting for you, and it fits in the palm of your hand.
