Computerphile’s latest video is an introduction to Unix’s pipe concept from Brian Kernighan (coauthor of the C programming language book and much more). Pipes are a fundamental design of Unix and help support chaining together multiple small programs to perform complex tasks. They’re so important we actually have an awesome guide on using them in the learning system.
And if you want more vintage Unix and Brian Kernighan video goodness check out this great video about Unix from AT&T in the 80’s!
