Visual Studio Code Updated & Open-Sourced

If you haven’t seen Microsoft’s cross-platform text & code editor, Visual Studio Code, you should definitely check it out now that it’s officially in beta.  The latest update added a ton of features like extension/plugin support, debugging improvements, and even open-sourcing the code on GitHub.  It’s even more impressive that all of these features are available for free and on Windows, Mac OSX, and Linux.  Check out the Visual Studio Code homepage for more details and downloads.

  1. Loving this new openness from Microsoft. They seemed to have made a big shift a few years ago to include the army of hackers and devs instead of trying to milk us for every cent. Thumbs up. 🙂
