Consumerist highlighted a neat new product from Hasbro, the Joy for All robotic companion cat! These ‘toys’ are robotic cats that mimic the look and feel of real cats and can even sense and respond to touch. It’s interesting and a great idea that Hasbro is marketing them towards the elderly instead of just kids. Since it’s a robot this cat only needs an occasional battery recharge to take care of it–none of the mess or trouble of keeping a real cat. I wonder if this robot cat is programmed to randomly kick stuff off your desk though…
