3D Printer Gamepad Controller with OctoPrint and RaspberryPi
This week we’re testing out OctoPrint on the Raspberry Pi and checking out the key control mode feature that let’s you control the movements of your 3D printer with key presses. We’re using our DIY 3D printed gamepad to wirelessly control our Printrbot Simple Metal. This is a pretty fun way to control your 3D printer and we totally recommend checking out OctoPrint if your looking to control and manage your 3D printer via WiFi.
Every Thursday is #3dthursday here at Adafruit! The DIY 3D printing community has passion and dedication for making solid objects from digital models. Recently, we have noticed electronics projects integrated with 3D printed enclosures, brackets, and sculptures, so each Thursday we celebrate and highlight these bold pioneers!
Have you considered building a 3D project around an Arduino or other microcontroller? How about printing a bracket to mount your Raspberry Pi to the back of your HD monitor? And don’t forget the countless LED projects that are possible when you are modeling your projects in 3D!
Have an amazing project to share? The Electronics Show and Tell is every Wednesday at 7:30pm ET! To join, head over to YouTube and check out the show’s live chat and our Discord!
