This year, you can make a batch of fresh DIY projects just in time for the holiday season. Here’s 6 projects you can make with the help of a 3D printer and some electronics and tutorials from Adafruit.
Talking D20
The talking d20 is fun and good for a laugh…though with electronics inside it won’t be 100% perfectly random or balanced…so it’s not suitable for all gaming situations and doesn’t replace your trusty dice bag. Think of it as a geek version of those “executive decision maker” toys.
The code and sounds are completely customizable. For example, you could load each of the 20 faces with the names of local lunch spots and use it to pick the day’s destination.
2.2″ Raspberry Pi
OMG, isn’t that just the cutest PiTFT display? The Adafruit 2.2″ PiTFT HAT is a perfect mini display for all sorts of Raspberry Pi projects.
Portable Apple Watch Charger
Super handy add-on for any smart watch that is likely to be under the tree this year! The small form factory even allows to to charge multiple devices at the same time through the UBS port on the side.
Bluetooth Gamepad
Build a customized HID keyboard controller. This bluetooth design is easy to adjust for making DIY keyboards and game pads or tablets or even your 3d printer!
Wireless Charging Stand
A convenient way to add wireless charging to any phone or table. Combine a Qi charging module with our wireless transmitter to easily charge devices on a handy stand!
Bluetooth Camera Slider
We really love photography and camera gear here at Adafruit! This bluetooth controlled camera slider is a perfect build for that camera buff on your gift list!
10″ Raspberry Pi Tablet
Go big with this huge Raspberry Pi tablet! Perfect for playing games or even controlling a network of 3d printers!
