Santa’s Using a Drone This Christmas #drone #droneday
Brian Martin has created a holiday themed quadcopter that might give Santa’s Sleigh a run for its money, via vocativ
In time for the holidays, Lousiana based drone enthusiast Brian Martin built a homemade quadcopter decorated as a mini Santa sleigh with reindeer and kitted out with a “custom package delivery system.” With controllable electronic tongs that open and close, the Santa drone can load a Christmas present as its payload and take off for delivery to its recipients (provided they’ve been very good this year).
Welcome to drone day on the Adafruit blog. Every Monday we deliver the latest news, products and more from the Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV), quadcopter and drone communities. Drones can be used for video & photography (dronies), civil applications, policing, farming, firefighting, military and non-military security work, such as surveillance of pipelines. Previous posts can be found via the #drone tag and our drone / UAV categories.
Make a robot friend with Adafruit’s CRICKIT – A Creative Robotics & Interactive Construction Kit. It’s an add-on to our popular Circuit Playground Express, FEATHER and other platforms to make and program robots with CircuitPython, MakeCode, and Arduino. Start controlling motors, servos, solenoids. You also get signal pins, capacitive touch sensors, a NeoPixel driver and amplified speaker output. It complements & extends your boards so you can still use all the goodies on the microcontroller, now you have a robotics playground as well.
