Remote cooking with @AnovaSousVide + @nest + @wemo Internet of cooking things

Posting this out there for the interwebs to see if anyone out there is doing anything like this so we can compare notes, post up in comments if you are!

An attempt at remote cooking. Here’s the set up before we start hooking it in to adafruit.io (or internet of things service for makers, now in public beta) – It’s the ANOVA Anova Precision Cooker with Wi-fi + BlueTooth, a Nest Cam and a WeMo Insight Switch (just in case we need to remotely turn off).

  1. I did something similar all DIY like, before I bought a Sous Vide Supreme. http://www.jaas.co/2014/02/08/daas-overview/ Raspberry PI + VMware software as a ‘Menu Catalog’ (I was an employee at the time & did zany experiments with their solutions).
