I need a replacement for the battery cover on my calipers. It appears to be slightly different from those available on the Mitutoyo site (and the shipping cost is crazy). I modeled it and sent it out to fab in SLA. Will see how it turns out!
Every Thursday is #3dthursday here at Adafruit! The DIY 3D printing community has passion and dedication for making solid objects from digital models. Recently, we have noticed electronics projects integrated with 3D printed enclosures, brackets, and sculptures, so each Thursday we celebrate and highlight these bold pioneers!
Have you considered building a 3D project around an Arduino or other microcontroller? How about printing a bracket to mount your Raspberry Pi to the back of your HD monitor? And don’t forget the countless LED projects that are possible when you are modeling your projects in 3D!
Make a robot friend with Adafruit’s CRICKIT – A Creative Robotics & Interactive Construction Kit. It’s an add-on to our popular Circuit Playground Express, FEATHER and other platforms to make and program robots with CircuitPython, MakeCode, and Arduino. Start controlling motors, servos, solenoids. You also get signal pins, capacitive touch sensors, a NeoPixel driver and amplified speaker output. It complements & extends your boards so you can still use all the goodies on the microcontroller, now you have a robotics playground as well.

Hot glue makes an excellent battery cover for Mitutoyo calipers. I use these calipers on a daily basis and I throw out the battery cover that comes with the calipers to replace it with hot glue. If you need to change the battery, keep isopropyl alcohol on hand to break down the glue.
