Das soda-CanStein! This object is inspired by thinkgeeks’a can-in-stein April Fools joke. Ever since I saw that, I wanted to have one of my own. One that was a real object, not a joke.
This soda can holder uses a screw-in plug on the bottom to hold the can in place. It only makes contact on a very narrow band on the top and bottom, so it will keep the beverage cooler than if it was in your full-contact heat-transferring hands. The lid pivots away to allow beverage consumption, as is right and proper.
The CanStein was designed to print entirely without supports. The inter-piece gaps are generous, to allow easy assembly. Use appropriate viscosity glue or epoxy for final assembly. The entire object was designed from scratch in Autodesk Fusion 360. -Love this program!
