Adafruit 0929

The Maker’s Guide to Boards – Make: DIY Projects and Ideas for Makers. Thanks MAKE! The Adafruit boards that were listed won categories for price, use, etc. FEATHER is a new board, HUZZAH and some others aren’t there (yet) but also offer a lot of features like low price and high features / connectivity (Also check out BLUEFRUIT and FONA).

Figuring out how to choose the right development board is a key skill for all electronics makers. Despite their various functions and options, development boards and cheap computers are ultimately just specialized tools created to accomplish computational tasks, so choosing them should be guided by the tasks you’re trying to complete.

Make a robot friend with Adafruit’s CRICKIT – A Creative Robotics & Interactive Construction Kit. It’s an add-on to our popular Circuit Playground Express, FEATHER and other platforms to make and program robots with CircuitPython, MakeCode, and Arduino. Start controlling motors, servos, solenoids. You also get signal pins, capacitive touch sensors, a NeoPixel driver and amplified speaker output. It complements & extends your boards so you can still use all the goodies on the microcontroller, now you have a robotics playground as well.
