Manufacturing Monday 4-4-16 @adafruit #adafruit (video). Start your monday right with a new prototype+tester PCB panel. I like to tile up about 10 PCBs and testers and send them to Gold Phoenix for their “155 sq inch + 1 day rush” prototype service. They’ll do plated slots and route out each PCB outline (for more $) which I like, as well as do non-green soldermask. With the rush service I send the PCBs out monday before 4pm, i’ll usually get them on Friday morning. Altogether, I’ll receive 3 or more sets of this 5.3×8.4 panel (155 / 45 sq inches), all routed out, for about $400 on friday. It’s my one R&D splurge, but I think it’s worth it – works out to about $10 per PCB, $2.50 per sq inch and the quality is pretty good for protos all in a week! – Ladyada
