It’s not too late to celebrate! The International Dark-Sky Association (IDA) invites you to turn off the lights in recognition of International Dark Sky Week, taking place April 4-10. Endorsed by the American Astronomical Society, this celebration of the visible natural wonders of the night sky also highlights the dangers of light pollution- and asks us to re-examine our relationship with artificial light. For more information on light pollution- check out “Losing The Dark” , a 6 minute video produced by the IDA , or visit their website for more ideas on how to get involved.
