Repairing a DW375 Planer with Bike Parts and Ingenuity @DEWALTtough
Another great blog post from Amy Qian, this time fixing a DeWALT DW375 planer. Good tips include when to use paste finishing wax (interesting), and I too keep a small collection of used toothbrushes – those are always useful for cleaning projects!
The main problem was that it was jammed so that turning the hand crank with any reasonable amount of force wouldn’t actually raise or lower the cutting head. It looked like the main culprit was a damaged chain tensioner.
Make a robot friend with Adafruit’s CRICKIT – A Creative Robotics & Interactive Construction Kit. It’s an add-on to our popular Circuit Playground Express, FEATHER and other platforms to make and program robots with CircuitPython, MakeCode, and Arduino. Start controlling motors, servos, solenoids. You also get signal pins, capacitive touch sensors, a NeoPixel driver and amplified speaker output. It complements & extends your boards so you can still use all the goodies on the microcontroller, now you have a robotics playground as well.
