Maisie Williams wore the same costume as Arya Stark in Game of Thrones for a few seasons in a row, and cosplayer Ginny Di has poured time and effort into redoing her Arya costume to get it just right. She made her first version of the costume in April 2014. She put it together for a web series and didn’t have a ton of time to spend making it screen accurate. A few months later, she made some adjustments for a last-minute photo shoot. But then, in May 2015 she was able to make additional changes. She says:
Over the next year, I completely remade this costume from scratch. I did a ton of research (I have literally hundreds of screenshots and photos saved, trying to get a glimpse of the back, or the underarm, or a close-up of the belt buckle, etc.) and spared no expense. I hand laced the jerkin (took about 1.5 seasons of The Tudors), painted all the pleather, and put together a new, more accurate sword from Triplette (had to shorten the blade for accurate proportion).
