Extensive Prototype PCB Tips & Tricks

Will Hart from the team at Particle wrote up some insightful – and helpful – pointers for anyone embarking on prototyping their first PCB with a trajectory towards larger manufacturing runs. He goes over everything from multiple reflow options to solder paste temperature to recommending conditions for assembly and inspection. It’s an extensive read – over 3,000 words – but worth it for anyone thinking of scaling up their project beyond a few through-hole perfboard prototypes.
