Here’s a GPS datalogger customized for trail hiking from Reed Foster over at Hacakday.io. The custom PCB was made by OSHPark upon which you can see the GlobalTop GPS module – and the Eagle CAD files are also provided. Judging from the Earth overlay image and accompanying photos that was one heck of a fun hike!

This little DC/DC boost converter module can run from 1.8V batteries or higher, and convert that voltage to 5.2V DC for running your 5V projects.
