‘Building Steam’ is a Festival for Makers at Legendary Bell Labs Facility in Holmdel, New Jersey This Weekend #STEM #STEAM @BuildSTEAMFest
The Bell Labs Holmdel Complex aka “The Biggest Mirror Ever” is home to this weekend’s Building S.T.E.A.M. festival, including maker vendors, crafters, drone battles, an electric car circuit for Power Wheel Racing, and more. Parts of the facility are under construction, as part of redevelopment plans for the site now dubbed ‘Bell Works’ by its developers, so not all areas of the grounds are accessible – but this is a fun opportunity to see makers and get a glimpse at this iconic piece of modernist architecture that is the site of several historical technological innovations and achievements.
Building S.T.E.A.M will bring together the maker community, schools and industry to illustrate innovation, creativity and invention as we strive to provide a hands-on immersive environment of learning and exploration. Building S.T.E.A.M. festival welcomes professionals and amateurs, enthusiasts, hobbyists, innovators and entrepreneurs, tinkerers and craftsmen to exhibit, demonstrate and provide educational immersive experiences for the attendees.
Have an amazing project to share? The Electronics Show and Tell is every Wednesday at 7:30pm ET! To join, head over to YouTube and check out the show’s live chat and our Discord!
