Drones Lighting Prescribed Fires In New Conservation Effort

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s NIMBUS Lab has unveiled new fire-starting drone technology used for lighting prescribed burns.  Fire plays an important role in maintaining the health of prairie ecosystems, and the use of drones in this effort could play an important role in conservation efforts- as well as reducing fire related casualties.
