Fierce Princess Mononoke Cosplay

princess mononoke cosplay 1

You can’t go wrong with a Studio Ghibli story or cosplay. Alice, a.k.a. Mientowa Props, made a replica of Princess Mononoke’s costume. She started work on the cosplay in August of last year and sculpted the mask from the ground up. She used Worbla for the base of it and also for the spear tip. Though Mononoke’s outfit isn’t what I would call complex, it does involve several accessories and pieces. Alice duplicated all of them, and I especially appreciate how Alice aged and weathered the clothes — not all cosplayers go that route. You can see a couple in progress photos below.

Make a robot friend with Adafruit’s CRICKIT – A Creative Robotics & Interactive Construction Kit. It’s an add-on to our popular Circuit Playground Express, FEATHER and other platforms to make and program robots with CircuitPython, MakeCode, and Arduino. Start controlling motors, servos, solenoids. You also get signal pins, capacitive touch sensors, a NeoPixel driver and amplified speaker output. It complements & extends your boards so you can still use all the goodies on the microcontroller, now you have a robotics playground as well.
