If you know Festo you know for years – decades even – they’ve been prototyping projects just for the sake of showing what could be possible – see their flapping-wing Flying Bird or BionicOpter dragonfly or 3D-printing coccooner. I don’t think they intend to suggest water bottle delivery is the wave of the future, but the form-factor of this multirotor machine (with multiple X and Y axis rotors) along with the ‘suction’ mechanism is simultaneously uniquely odd and intriguing:
