ATWINC1500 with Firmware 19.4.4 has TLS 1.2 Client Support #IoT #IoTuesday @Atmel
In case you missed this recently, if you’re using the ATWINC1500 in any of your projects – such as the WiFi Breakout, Adafruit Feather M0, or WiFi Breakout with uFL – and you’re running firmware 19.4.4 (which is what Adafruit boards have shipped with) you’ll be happy to know Transport Layer Security v1.2 is supported, as confirmed by Twitter user evilSnobu:
Specification version 1.3 is currently in draft so for the time being 1.2 will offer you the most up-to-date SSL security.
Make a robot friend with Adafruit’s CRICKIT – A Creative Robotics & Interactive Construction Kit. It’s an add-on to our popular Circuit Playground Express, FEATHER and other platforms to make and program robots with CircuitPython, MakeCode, and Arduino. Start controlling motors, servos, solenoids. You also get signal pins, capacitive touch sensors, a NeoPixel driver and amplified speaker output. It complements & extends your boards so you can still use all the goodies on the microcontroller, now you have a robotics playground as well.
