this step of the project he details how he built the main body of the bot from a standard cardboard globe covered in multiple layers of fiberglass and resin. Particularly brilliant are those layers of fiberglass, applied overlapping the surface of the globe to increase their overall strength, and the ‘valley’ gap found using a cut-out piece of cardboard (2nd image below).
