Review of Different Thermoplastics for Cosplay

thermoplastics comparison

With more and more cosplayers using products like Worbla and Wonderflex, other manufacturers have entered the market with thermoplastic options. There are the two mentioned, Black Worbla and also Thibra. The number of options can be overwhelming for someone new to using thermoplastics — is it even worth choosing these materials when the less expensive EVA foam is a viable alternative?

Svetlana Quindt, a.k.a. Kamui Cosplay, reviews a handful of thermoplastics in a recent blog post and discusses handling, texture, flexibility, and adhesive strength for each kind. Her reviews and pros and cons can help you decide which thermoplastic to use. Read Svetlana’s overview at her website.
