Lauren-Gregory1-2

Lauren Gregory’s brought the classic and the contemporary together by documenting her oil painting and turning that into GIFs. Beautiful, witty work. Some of the GIFs on her site have mature subject matter — via ArtFCity

GIFs are not typically associated with traditional art forms like painting. Even though there is certainly an enormous range of GIF art, most GIFs have a distinctively futuristic or, at the very least, contemporary look derived from a world of Emojis, 3-D animation and viral videos. However, artist and animator Lauren Gregory shatters this assumed GIF aesthetic with her unexpected and refreshing oil painting GIFs.

Make a robot friend with Adafruit’s CRICKIT – A Creative Robotics & Interactive Construction Kit. It’s an add-on to our popular Circuit Playground Express, FEATHER and other platforms to make and program robots with CircuitPython, MakeCode, and Arduino. Start controlling motors, servos, solenoids. You also get signal pins, capacitive touch sensors, a NeoPixel driver and amplified speaker output. It complements & extends your boards so you can still use all the goodies on the microcontroller, now you have a robotics playground as well.
