This project describes the way to take full control of the Gopro hero 4 silver. Similar hacks solder wires directly to the button rings, damaging the manual buttons functionality. So i figured other way to do it trying to preserve the camera integrity. My final intention is to control the camera via ethernet with an embedded linux board, and extend the power supply. In this way we can drive the camera using any microcontroller board, for robotics applications, without using the wifi Gopro’s functionality as well as the camera life via an external power supply.
Warning: This procedure nulled the camera warranty
