Check out this 1930s-50s Tefifon Plastic Tape Player from Before the Days of 4- and 8-Track #MusicMonday

YouTube user Techmoan does a review of a Tefifon player – I’m ashamed to say I had never heard of this player and cassette format before. And it’s a weird format for sure: plastic tape with grooves like a vinyl record; and the looping tape format means cassettes could hold up to four hours of music!
