The smell of rotting flesh will soon be wrinkling noses in the Bronx. A corpse flower is on the verge of blooming at the New York Botanical Garden, possibly today or Thursday. The plant’s common name comes from the stench it produces to attract pollinators like carrion beetles and flies.
Going to try and see, er, smell it soon.
