Her Universe hosted its third annual fashion show at San Diego Comic-Con last week. The event is all about bringing together haute couture designs and nerdom, and contestants use a variety of materials from fabric to electronics to add flair to their designs. Host and Her Universe founder Ashley Eckstein always wears elegant gowns during the show, and this year, she showcased a couture LEGO gown.
The ensemble featured Ahsoka Tano, the character Eckstein voiced in Star Wars: The Clone Wars. It was based on a sketch by Dave Filoni and designed by Nathan Sawaya and Andrew MacLaine. They made the dress from over 10,000 LEGO bricks. It weighed 25 pounds.
