Overwatch Soldier: 76 Mask with LEDs

soldier 76 mask 1

Overwatch’s Soldier: 76 is sort of an archetypal soldier type in the game, and he wears a mask that covers most of his face. Mark of Celtic Props is constructing some Soldier: 76 costume pieces and showed off the finished mask. He used foam and acrylic sheets along with LEDs to craft the mask:

Mask is made entirely out of scratch using EVA Foams with luminescent clear strip enhanced with LED for the lights and black tinted acrylic sheet for the visor.

Make a robot friend with Adafruit’s CRICKIT – A Creative Robotics & Interactive Construction Kit. It’s an add-on to our popular Circuit Playground Express, FEATHER and other platforms to make and program robots with CircuitPython, MakeCode, and Arduino. Start controlling motors, servos, solenoids. You also get signal pins, capacitive touch sensors, a NeoPixel driver and amplified speaker output. It complements & extends your boards so you can still use all the goodies on the microcontroller, now you have a robotics playground as well.

  1. I am trying to figure out what exactly he used for that lighted strip in the visor. He said it was flexible plastic or rubber with LEDs at edges . The material transmitted the light across the strip. Does anyone know what product this is or where one can get something like it?
